Cooper wants a cheezburger

This is my submission for ds106 visual assignment “What’s the Meme?”.  I call it “Cooper wants a cheezburger”.  I am a huge fan of lolcats and thought why not get my own pets into the action?  While I was trying to complete yesterday’s Daily Create, Cooper decided he wanted to help out…and help he did!  I cropped and added text to the photo in Photoshop Elements.  In case you don’t know how to get the font right, let me share what I learned today.  The font is called Impact.  The black outline is created by:

1)Selecting the “Layer” menu option

2)Selecting “Layer Style”

3)Selecting “Style Settings”

4)Choosing the “Stroke” option

Once you have selected “Stroke”, you can make the outline thicker by increasing the px size.  There are websites where you can do the same thing, but I wanted to know how to do it myself!

Might have to get Cooper that cheezburger, although I think he might prefer chikin 🙂

Hey all! This is the spot where I get to tell you about myself. Can I tell you how incredibly awkward that is? I mean who are we really? It's really a question for the ages. But, if I must answer, I am a photography junkie, wannabe writer, wife with a full time job. On the side, I like to think that my cooking is above average and that I could probably hold my own on the TV Show "Chopped", although I probably couldn't. Life is good!

  1. This is absolutely adorable! And Cooper is the cutest little guy ever! I wanted to do something like this with my cat but every time the camera comes out she seems to want to be as “un-animated” as possible.

    • I thank you and Cooper thanks you! I know what you mean about it being difficult to capture expressions like this. If I hadn’t been trying to take a picture of something else, I would have missed the whole thing!
